Discussion

A cold front will grudgingly slide through the region today and then stall just to our south at the end of the week. There can be a shower or thunderstorm at just about any time today and tonight and some of the storms that form can be on the strong side. The threat of showers and thunderstorms will diminish some on Friday and then increase again this weekend as disturbances ride along the stalled-out frontal boundary zone. The weekend will not be a total washout, however, as there should be plenty of rain-free time. An unsettled weather pattern early next week will bring us a good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, Memorial Day, and likely Tuesday as well.
