High pressure will dominate the weather scene around here into the weekend and daily highs through then should approach the 80 degree mark.  A frontal system should slide through the area by the latter part of the weekend and it’ll usher in cooler air for the early part of next week.

7:00 AM | An outside chance at some record high temperatures today

High pressure continues to dominate the weather scene around here and it’ll stay well above normal for this time of year and some spots could even reach record highs.  The high pressure system will, in fact, stick around through the weekend and the next chance for a frontal system to reach this area won’t come until Sunday night or Christmas Day (Monday).

7:00 AM | Milder today with highs in the middle 70's, but cool frontal passage bring us a bit of a cool down for tomorrow

High pressure will continue to generate southwest flow at low-levels of the atmosphere in central Florida and we’ll climb well into the 70’s for afternoon highs as a result. A weak cool front will pass through the region tonight and we’ll turn slightly cooler again to begin the weekend.  This cool down will not last too long; however, and we could see temperatures return to 80 degrees as we begin the new work week.

High pressure will expand over Florida today and southwest flow at low-levels of the atmosphere will push milder air into the region.  A general west-to-east flow in the upper atmosphere will persist from tonight through the weekend and we’ll stay moderately cool for this time of year until the early part of next week.  By Monday, temperatures could actually climb back to the 80 degree mark for highs ahead of another cool front.

7:00 AM | *Milder today, but another cold frontal passage will usher in a much cooler air mass*

An upper-level trough of low pressure in the eastern US will allow for another cold frontal passage in central Florida later today and this will usher in another chilly air mass for this time of year.  After temperatures climb well into the 70’s this afternoon, they are likely to hold near the 60 degree mark on Wednesday for highs.  High pressure is likely to push over the western Atlantic region by later in the week.

 The major pattern change that began last week brought much colder conditions to much of the eastern US and even central Florida cooled down dramatically over the weekend.  This overall pattern will hold intact for much of the upcoming week, but tomorrow should see temperatures near the 70 degree mark.

6:00 AM | *Big cool down reaches central Florida this weekend and continues early next week*

A major pattern change is underway across the central and eastern US with colder-than-normal temperatures for this time of year and there will be a significant cool down here this weekend.  High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday won’t get much above the 60 degree mark and overnight lows may drop to the upper 30's across central Florida.  The cool weather will continue into the early part of next week as well.
