7:00 AM | Warm and unsettled again today...cooler on Wednesday following frontal passage

Paul Dorian

The weather will stay warm and unsettled today as a cool front approaches from our north and its passage will usher in cooler air for the mid-week time period.  Highs this afternoon are likely to reach the lower 80’s ahead of the front, but then drop to the low-to-mid 70’s for highs on Wednesday.  Showers and thunderstorms may accompany the frontal passage later today and tonight and then the chance for showers will diminish on Wednesday as the cooler air arrives.

Paul Dorian

Weak high pressure will build into the region early this week and then an upper-level trough will shift closer by mid-week.  A frontal system associated with the upper-level trough could bring some shower activity to the region at mid-week, but much of the time over the next few days will be warm and rain-free.

Paul Dorian

An upper-level trough will be close enough to generate scattered showers around here over the next few days, but for the most part, we’ll experience warm and rain-free conditions.  Temperatures should climb to the 80 degree mark today and not far from there this weekend and early next week.

7:00 AM | Windy and warm for last couple days of the work week

Paul Dorian

High pressure over the western Atlantic will give way to an approaching upper-level trough, but we’ll stay generally rain-free and warm into the day on Friday.  By tomorrow night and Saturday, upper-level trough axis will reach the east coast and this will be close enough to increase our shower chances as we move into the weekend.

7:00 AM | Western Atlantic high pressure system in control

Paul Dorian

High pressure over the western Atlantic will continue to have an influence our weather in central Florida over the next couple of days.  A trough of low pressure will approach the area on Friday and while it will weaken somewhat, it’ll raise the chances for showers around here at the end of the week and this weekend as well.
