We’ll experience a cool down here today with highs in the upper 70’s across much of central Florida, and it turns much cooler in the overnight hours. Temperatures in the overnight hours could bottom out around the 50 degree mark and will be confined to the 60’s for highs on Friday. A warming trend will take place this weekend and high temperatures will once again return to or slightly above the 70 degree mark on both Saturday and Sunday.

Much of the eastern half of the nation experienced well below-normal temperatures this weekend and we took a step down in temperatures as well with highs dropping from the middle 80’s for much of last week to near 80 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll get back to warm levels for the next couple of days, but another frontal passage will bring about a cooling trend during the mid-week time period and then another drop down in temperatures will come for the weekend.

In addition, rain chances will be rather limited for the next couple of days, but then should increase late in the week with the approach of a frontal system.
