7:00 AM | Dramatic warm up for tomorrow and Thursday

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly sunny, bitter cold start, but moderation this afternoon, highs in the mid-to-upper 40’s

Tonight

Partly cloudy, cold, lows in the mid 20’s

Wednesday

Mostly sunny, much milder, upper 50’s

Wednesday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, low 30’s

Thursday

Mostly sunny, very mild, near 60

Friday

Partly sunny, colder, maybe a rain or snow shower, mid-to-upper 40’s

Saturday

Mostly cloudy, even colder, maybe some snow, upper 30’s

Sunday

Mostly cloudy, cold, maybe some snow, upper 30’s

Discussion

A significant warming trend will take place during mid-week after yesterday’s chilly start to the week as an upper level trough along the west coast generates southwesterly flow around here. In fact, temperatures should approach 60 degrees on both Wednesday and Thursday before colder air moves back into the region late in the week. There are some signs that by the weekend low pressure could swing into the southern Rockies bringing with it a threat for some snow.

7:00 AM | Cool and unsettled weather pattern continues for much of the week

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Some fog early then gradually becoming mostly sunny, cool, highs near 60 degrees

Tonight

Mostly cloudy, some fog late, cool, lows near 50 degrees

Wednesday

Mostly cloudy, cool, chance for some rain, upper 50’s

Wednesday Night

Mostly cloudy, cool, chance for some light rain, near 50

Thursday

Friday

Mostly cloudy, cool, showers possible, upper 50’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, cool, upper 50’s

Sunday

Mostly sunny, not as cool, low 60’s

Discussion

A weak cool front will bring the threat for some light rain around here from later tonight through Wednesday and then more low pressure will approach the region later this week continuing our rain threat. Temperatures will stay on the cool side of normal through much of the week with a warming trend possibly beginning at the early part of next week.

7:00 AM | *Periods of rain and snow to affect southern California through tomorrow*

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly cloudy, cool, showers likely late, mid-to-upper 50’s

Tonight

Mostly cloudy, showers likely, maybe a thunderstorm, cool, lows in the upper 40’s

Friday

Mostly cloudy, cool, showers likely, maybe a few thunderstorms, mid 50’s

Friday Night

Mostly cloudy, cold, showers and thunderstorms still possible, mid 40’s

Saturday

Becoming mostly sunny, still chilly, upper 50’s

Sunday

Mostly sunny, cool, near 60

Monday

Mostly sunny, milder, mid 60’s

Tuesday

Mostly sunny, pleasant, upper 60’s

Discussion

Low pressure will affect the region from late today through tomorrow night and it’ll have cold air to work with in the upper atmosphere. As a result, thunderstorms could form in the unstable environment and snow levels will drop to rather low levels by tomorrow bringing snows to the mountains. Once this system moves by there will be drying this weekend and temperatures will make a quick rebound reaching the pleasant upper 60’s by early next week.

A significant warming trend will take place this weekend with a strong westerly flow of air. 7:00 AM | Very mild for the next couple of days, but cooling trend next week

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly sunny, warm, highs in the upper 70’s

Tonight

Mostly clear, cool, lows in the mid 50’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, warm, mid 70’s

After a couple more real mild days a cooling trend will begin on Sunday as low pressure approaches the area. By the middle of next week, temperatures may be confined to the 50’s again and there will be an enhanced threat for showers as a disturbance moves towards the region.

7:00 AM | Mild weather returns for the weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Partly sunny, becoming breezy, cold, afternoon highs in the mid 30’s after a very chilly start to the day

Tonight

Partly cloudy, breezy cold, maybe a snow shower or two, lows in the upper teens

Friday

Partly sunny, not as cold, low 40's

Friday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, low-to-mid 20’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, milder, low 50's

Sunday

Partly sunny, mild, mid 50’s

Monday

Partly sunny, windy, not as mild, mid-to-upper 40’s

Tuesday

Partly sunny, chilly, low 40’s

Discussion

Another disturbance will swing down over Colorado late today and tonight and it could set off a few snow showers in the overnight period, but nothing significant is expected. High pressure ridging will take place late this week bringing with it warmer and dry conditions for the weekend. In fact, temperatures should or slightly surpass reach the 50 degree mark by Saturday afternoon and head well into the 50’s on Sunday (normal high is now about 49 degrees).

7:00 AM | Terrific weather pattern continues through the weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly sunny, warm, highs in the mid 70’s (normal high is now 64 degrees at LAX)

Tonight

Mostly clear, cool, lows in the low 50’s

Friday

Mostly sunny, even warmer, upper 70’s

Friday Night

Partly cloudy, cool, low 50’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, still warm, mid-to-upper 70’s

Sunday

Partly sunny, not quite as warm, upper 60’s

Monday

Mostly sunny, a bit cooler, low-to-mid 60’s

Tuesday

Mostly sunny, cool, near 60

Discussion

High pressure continues to control our weather and offshore winds will promote a warming trend right into the weekend with well above normal temperatures. In fact, highs on Friday and Saturday should reach the mid-to-upper 70’s at the time the normal high at LAX is only 64 degrees. A trough of low pressure will approach early next week and that will set off a cooling trend that will likely continue into the mid-week time period.

7:00 AM | Much milder weather is coming our way for the weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly sunny, breezy, cold, highs in the low-to-mid 30’s

Tonight

Partly cloudy, very cold, lows in the middle teens

Thursday

Partly sunny, cold, mid 30’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, milder, near 50

Sunday

Partly sunny, still mild, mid 50’s

Discussion

One disturbance affected the region yesterday with some snow shower activity and another one will approach on Thursday, but it looks rather weak and may not generate any precipitation around here. High pressure ridging will take place late this week bringing with it warmer and dry conditions for the weekend. In fact, temperatures should reach the 50 degree mark by Saturday afternoon and well into the 50’s on Sunday.

7:00 AM | Pleasant weather pattern continues into the weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly sunny, mild, highs near 70 degrees

Tonight

Partly cloudy, cool, lows near 50 degrees

Thursday

Mostly sunny, warmer, upper 70’s

Thursday Night

Partly cloudy, cool, near 50

Saturday

Partly sunny, warm, mid 70’s

Discussion

Pleasant weather continues as offshore flow persists bringing us dry and mild conditions. In fact, it’ll get downright warm and well above normal by later this week as high temperatures should surge to the middle and upper 70’s on Thursday and Friday as upper level high pressure builds into the region.
