Saturday

Partly sunny, warm, chance for showers and thunderstorms, near 80

Sunday

Mostly sunny, pleasant, upper 70’s

Discussion

It’ll stay quite warm today although several degrees lower than yesterday’s high temperature and there will be enough moisture around to increase the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms in the region. A disturbance will move in by tomorrow and this too will continue the chances for a few showers and thunderstorms in the region although much of the time will be rain-free. Upper level ridging builds in Thursday and temperatures will respond by climbing to near 80 degrees as we approach the end of the work week. By the weekend, yet another disturbance will swing through the southern Rockies and this too will bring us the threat for some shower and thunderstorm activity.

7:00 AM | Marine flow reforms this weekend and keeps us on the cool side into early next week

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Some early morning clouds and fog then becoming mostly sunny, breezy, mild, highs near 75 degrees

Tonight

Partly cloudy, mild, lows near 60 degrees

Saturday

Early morning clouds and fog then partly sunny skies, breezy, cool, low 70's

Patchy morning fog then partly sunny skies, cool, upper 60’s

Tuesday

Patchy morning fog then partly sunny skies, cool, upper 60’s

Wednesday

Patchy morning fog then partly sunny skies, cool, upper 60’s

Discussion

High pressure will build into the region today and this will result in warmer conditions with highs climbing towards the middle 70's along coastal sections. The warmer weather won’t last too long, however, as cooler marine flow will re-form along coastal locations this weekend and continue into early next week. This will also bring a return of late night and early morning low clouds and fog along coastal sections during the weekend and first half of next week.

7:00 AM | Cool, windy to end the week and begin the weekend; much warmer early next week

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly sunny, windy, cool, highs near 70 degrees

Tonight

Partly cloudy, windy, chilly, lows in the mid 40’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, breezy, cool, near 70

Saturday Night

Partly cloudy, chilly, breezy, mid 40’s

Sunday

Mostly sunny, warmer, upper 70’s

Monday

Partly sunny, warm, mid 80’s

Tuesday

Partly sunny, warm, near 80

Wednesday

Partly sunny, not as warm, chance for showers and thunderstorms, low-to-mid 70’s

Discussion

A weak cool front will pass through the area by tomorrow and this will keep temperatures at somewhat cooler levels before a rebound begins on Sunday. By early next week, upper level high pressure ridging will take place and a warming trend will become quite noticeable with highs rising to the 80’s on Monday and Tuesday. An upper level trough will cause an increasing chance for showers and thunderstorms as we approach the middle of next week.

7:00 AM Quite windy into tomorrow with chilly nighttime low temperatures in the 40's the next couple of nights

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly sunny, windy, cool, low 70’s

Tonight

Partly cloudy, windy, chilly, lows in the mid 40’s

Friday

Mostly sunny, windy, cool, near 70

Friday Night

Partly cloudy, chilly, breezy, low-to-mid 40’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, cool, upper 60’s

Sunday

Partly sunny, milder, upper 70’s

Monday

Partly sunny, even warmer, low-to-mid 80’s

Tuesday

Partly sunny, warm, chance for showers and thunderstorms, near 80

Discussion

An upper level trough has moved across the region swinging a cool front through the southern Rockies and the result will be slightly cooler-than-normal temperatures. Also, winds will continue to be on the strong side generally out of the southwest along with the mostly sunny skies. The flow of air will become more southerly by the latter stages of the weekend and this will lead to a warming trend with temperatures jumping back into the 80’s by early next week.

7:00 AM | Winds die down today as high pressure gradually builds in; warmer weather this weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Early morning clouds and fog then becoming mostly sunny, not as windy with rather cool temperatures, highs near 70 degrees

Tonight

Becoming mostly cloudy, mild, some fog possible late, lows near 60 degrees

Friday

Some early morning clouds and fog then becoming mostly sunny, pleasant, near 70

Friday Night

Mostly clear, mild, low 60’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny skies, warmer, near 80

Sunday

Mostly sunny skies, pleasant, mid 70’s

Monday

Patchy morning fog then mostly sunny skies, cool, mid-to-upper 60’s

Tuesday

Patchy morning fog then mostly sunny skies, cool, mid-to-upper 60’s

Discussion

Our recent windy conditions will die down today as high pressure begins to build into the area. As a result, a warming trend will develop into the weekend and high temperatures by Saturday afternoon will approach the 80 degree mark. A marine flow of air may return with slightly cooler weather early next week as low pressure develops near the west coast.

7:00 AM | Cool frontal passage will bring rain and usher in cooler conditions

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly cloudy, cooler, showers and thunderstorms likely and some of the rain can be briefly heavy, highs in the low 70’s

Tonight

Mostly cloudy, cooler, breezy, lows in the upper 40’s

Thursday

Mostly sunny, windy, cool, low 70’s

Thursday Night

Partly cloudy, chilly, breezy, mid 40’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, breezy, cool, upper 60’s

Sunday

Partly sunny, milder, upper 70’s

Monday

Partly sunny, even warmer, low-to-mid 80’s

Discussion

An upper level trough will move across the region today swinging a cool front through the southern Rockies and generating scattered showers and thunderstorms. Winds will also pick up in intensity and a cooling trend will commence. The cooler weather will continue through Saturday, but then as high pressure builds in aloft later this weekend, a warming trend will return to the region and high temperatures will approach 80 degrees by early next week.

Elsewhere, a clash of air masses will likely produce severe weather later today and tonight across the mid-section of the country and this will include the risk for tornadoes in places like Oklahoma and Kansas. Some snow is now falling in the highest elevations of Colorado and Wyoming and this colder air mass is sweeping towards very warm and humid air in the central US setting the stage for late day severe weather and that threat will likely continue on Thursday as well in the nation's mid-section.

7:00 AM | The main weather story continues to be the windy conditions

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Morning clouds then becoming mostly sunny, windy, pleasant temperatures, highs near 70 degrees

Tonight

Partly cloudy, mild, windy, lows near 60 degrees

Thursday

Morning clouds then becoming mostly sunny, still windy, pleasant, near 70

Thursday Night

Mostly clear, mild, low 60’s

Friday

Mostly sunny skies, pleasant, not as windy, low 70’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny skies, warmer, upper 70’s

Sunday

Mostly sunny skies, mild, mid-to-upper 70’s

Monday

Mostly sunny skies, cooler, near 70

Discussion

Quite breezy conditions will continue today, tonight and Thursday with temperatures not too far from normal. High pressure will build into the region late this week with pleasant temperatures, but the weekend should feature warmer conditions as offshore winds develop for a couple of days. By early next week, however, a marine flow of air may return with slightly cooler weather once again in the region.

Some snow is now falling in the highest elevations of Colorado and Wyoming and this colder air mass is sweeping towards very warm and humid air in the central US setting the stage for late day severe weather and that threat will likely continue on Thursday as well in the nation's mid-section.
