7:00 AM | Still on the cold side for early November

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mainly sunny, breezy, still cold, highs near 50 degrees

Tonight

Partly cloudy, breezy, cold, lows in the upper 20’s

Thursday

Partly sunny, milder, upper 50’s

Thursday Night

Partly cloudy, chilly, mid 30’s

Friday

Mainly sunny, breezy, mild, low 60’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, seasonably cool, near 60

Sunday

Mostly sunny, seasonably cool, near 60

Monday

Partly sunny, seasonably cool, near 60

Discussion

There will be a continuation of cold conditions today in the southern Rockies along with gusty winds at times. By tomorrow, the flow aloft will become more westerly and this will allow for some modification in temperatures. The weekend may see a return of seasonal temperatures following the passage of a weak cool frontal system.

7:00 AM | Offshore flow keeps us warm for another day

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Becoming mostly sunny, breezy and warm, highs in the upper 70’s along coastal sections

Tonight

Mostly clear, breezy, cool, lows by morning in the upper 50’s

Thursday

Mostly sunny, warm, still breezy, mid-to-upper 70’s

Thursday Night

Mostly clear early, some clouds and patchy fog late, cool, upper 50’s

Friday

Patchy fog early; otherwise, mostly sunny skies, cooler, mid 60’s

Saturday

Patchy fog early; otherwise, mostly sunny skies, cool, mid 60’s

Sunday

Patchy fog early; otherwise, mostly sunny skies, cool, low-to-mid 60’s

Monday

Patchy fog early; otherwise, partly sunny skies, cool, mid 60’s

Discussion

Gusty winds will create dry and warm conditions across the region for another day. An onshore flow will reform later this week and continue into the weekend bringing with it cooler temperatures and the return of some late night and early morning low clouds and patchy fog to coastal regions.

7:00 AM | Snow could accumulate in the mountains, but little chance for that in and around the Denver metro region

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mostly cloudy skies this morning with just a chance at some light snow, windy and cold conditions throughout the day with some afternoon partial sunshine possible, highs in the upper 30’s

Tonight

Partly cloudy, breezy, very cold, lows near 20 degrees

Wednesday

Partly sunny, breezy, still cold, upper 40’s

Wednesday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, upper 20’s

Thursday

Mainly sunny, not as chilly, upper 50’s

Friday

Mostly sunny, cool, mid-to-upper 50’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, chilly, low 50’s

Sunday

Partly sunny, milder, near 60

Discussion

Snow will accumulate in the mountains today, but will have trouble extending into the urban corridor as downslope flow will inhibit that possibility. After today, there will be a couple of weak disturbances to deal with that could generate some light snow; otherwise, dry conditions are likely with temperatures climbing back to near normal late this week.

Sunday

Patchy fog early; otherwise, mostly sunny skies, cool, mid 60’s

Discussion

Gusty winds will affect the region through tomorrow and it’ll get quite warm by tomorrow afternoon with the offshore flow of air. A cooling trend will develop later this week as marine flow re-establishes itself in the region.

Tonight

Mostly clear, breezy, cool, lows by morning in the low-to-mid 50’s

Weak onshore flow will help to keep us quite cool as we begin the new work week and after a mid-week warming trend, we’ll turn cooler again at the end of the week.

7:00 AM | Another approaching deep upper level low brings big changes to the region

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Partly sunny, much colder, highs in the upper 40’s

Tonight

Mostly cloudy, breezy, cold, chance for snow showers, lows near 30 degrees

Tuesday

Partly sunny, cold, mid 40’s

Tuesday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, low 30’s

Mainly sunny, still chilly, low 50’s

Thursday

Partly sunny, cool, mid 50’s

Friday

Mostly cloudy, turning milder, couple of showers possible, near 60

Saturday

Partly sunny, pleasant, near 60

Discussion

Upper level low pressure moves into the region early this week and the result will be much colder conditions compared to the relatively mild weekend. This next cold shot will lift out of here later this week, however, and we’ll likely approach the 60 degree mark for high temperatures by the end of the week.

7:00 AM | Warmer way to end the week; turn back the clocks this weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Partly sunny, pleasantly warm, highs in the mid-to-upper 70’s

Tonight

Patchy fog possible after midnight; otherwise, partly cloudy skies, lows in the upper 50’s

Saturday

Mostly sunny, pleasant, low 70’s

Saturday Night

Mostly cloudy with patchy fog possible late, cool, upper 50’s

Sunday

Patchy fog then becoming mostly sunny, cooler, mid 60’s

Monday

Patchy fog then becoming mostly sunny, cool, mid 60’s

Tuesday

Patchy fog then becoming mostly sunny, cool, low 70’s

Wednesday

Patchy fog then becoming partly sunny, milder, low-to-mid 70’s

Discussion

Weak offshore flow will bring milder conditions to the region for today and the beginning of the weekend, but as the marine layer becomes re-established later this weekend, we’ll have a return of some patchy late night and early morning fog along with cooler temperatures. One final note – we turn the clocks back this weekend.

7:00 AM | Rather nice for the weekend, but we'll get significantly colder again early next week; turn back the clocks this weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Mainly sunny, still chilly, quite breezy at times, highs in the mid 50’s

Tonight

Partly cloudy, cold, lows in the low-to-mid 30’s

Saturday

Mainly sunny, milder, low 60’s

Saturday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, mid 30’s

Sunday

Mainly sunny, mild, low 60’s

Monday

Partly sunny, much colder, upper 40’s

Tuesday

Partly sunny, cold, maybe some snow shower activity, low-to-mid 40’s

Wednesday

Partly sunny, still quite chilly, low-to-mid 50’s

Discussion

Upper level low that plagued us earlier this week is now well east of here and rather decent weather will close out the work week and continue right into the weekend. High temperatures this weekend will reach or even slightly surpass the 60 degree mark; however, there are already signs for a big cool-down early next week. One final note – we turn the clocks back this weekend.

7:00 AM | Decent weather to close out the work week and then rather nice this weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Partly-to-mostly sunny, chilly, highs in the mid 50’s

Tonight

Mostly cloudy, breezy, cold, lows in the mid 30’s

Friday

Mainly sunny, still chilly, quite breezy, mid 50’s

Friday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, low 30’s

Saturday

Mainly sunny, milder, low 60’s

Sunday

Mainly sunny, mild, low-to-mid 60’s

Monday

Partly sunny, turning colder, near 50

Tuesday

Partly sunny, cold, maybe some snow shower activity, near 40

Discussion

Upper level low will continue to pull away from the region and gradual improvement will take place through the rest of the week. By the weekend, skies should allow for at least some sunshine each day and high temperatures will reach or even slightly surpass the 60 degree mark. There are, however, signs for another significant cool-down early next week.

7:00 AM | Warming trend as we head into the weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Today

Becoming mostly sunny, milder, highs in the low-to-mid 70’s along coastal sections

Tonight

Mostly clear, breezy, cool, lows by morning in the mid-to-upper 50’s

Friday

Partly sunny, pleasantly warm, mid-to-upper 70’s

Friday Night

Mostly clear early, clouds late with some patchy fog possible, cool, upper 50’s

Saturday

Patchy fog then becoming mostly sunny, pleasant, low 70’s

Sunday

Patchy fog then becoming partly sunny, cooler, mid 60’s

Monday

Patchy fog then becoming partly sunny, quite cool, low-to-mid 60’s

Tuesday

Patchy fog then becoming mainly sunny, cool, near 70

Discussion

Weak offshore flow will help to promote a brief warming trend as high pressure takes over following the departure of the upper low that generated unsettled weather around here earlier this week. There are, however, already some signs for another significant cool-down by early next week.
