A marine layer will be rather stubborn for the next few days along the coast with late night and early morning clouds and fog, but afternoons should feature some brightening skies. The overall pattern changes somewhat later this week as a broad trough moves closer to the coast from the eastern Pacific and this will begin a slight cooling trend.
