Discussion
Upper level high pressure continues just to the west of the region and this will keep us rather dry and hot for the next couple of days. The late week and weekend will bring a few changes to the overall pattern as several disturbances begin to break down the upper-level ridge in the southwest US and this will increase our chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Also, temperatures will rise well up into the 90's for the next couple of days, but will likely be confined to highs near 90 degrees this weekend.
