Discussion
Highs will jump to the upper 80’s today, and could reach 90 degrees on Wednesday along with plenty of sunshine. Some monsoonal moisture will increase our chances for showers and storms from Wednesday into Saturday. Elsewhere, a new tropical depression has formed (#9) in the Atlantic and this will likely become Tropical Storm Isaac in a relatively short time. All indications are that this system will intensify over the next few days as it moves westward towards the island of Hispaniola by late week. Once past that island, steering winds will likely take this tropical system towards Cuba or South Florida or somewhere in between by early next week.
