Discussion

Strong upper-level high pressure continues to dominate the weather scene today across California and well above normal temperatures and a higher fire danger will persist for one more day. The good news; however, is that a cooling trend is likely to begin tomorrow bringing us back to normal by later in the week and perhaps even slightly below normal by the weekend. As the week progresses, the strong upper-level ridge will slowly weaken and this will allow for an onshore flow of air to resume generating the expected cooling trend.
