Discussion
A couple of very mild days are in store for the southern Rockies as temperatures climb to 60 degrees or higher thanks to strong southwesterly flow in the upper atmosphere associated with a building upper level ridge of high pressure. The weekend will bring a potent upper level low to the west coast and that will spawn a surface storm near the Four Corners region this weekend enhancing our chances for snow as colder air moves into the region. In fact, it is not out of the question that another significant snow event hits the southern Rockies over the upcoming weekend.
