9:30 AM | ***Another major snowstorm for the southern Rockies with 8-12 inches by later tonight***

Paul Dorian

Discussion

Another major snowstorm is headed to the southern Rockies for today and it is likely to dump another 8-12 inches on the Denver metro region by later tonight. The height of the storm is likely to occur during the late morning and early-to-mid afternoon hours with snow falling at 1-2 inch per hour rates. Winds will become a problem during the storm with gusts to 40 mph causing reduced visibilities, blowing and drifting. There will also be hazardous driving conditions with the low visibility and slick snow and ice-covered conditions. Improvement in the weather department begins on Sunday and a rather nice week is in store. Stay safe.
