Discussion
An upper level ridge of high pressure will bring us the chance to reach 70 degrees this afternoon – just in time for the Rockies afternoon home opener. The weekend will feature slightly cooler temperatures as a weak trough moves through the region and it could touch off a a few showers on Saturday and possibly some thunderstorm activity on Sunday. The normal high temperature for Denver at this time of year is right around 60 degrees. Colder air returns to the southern Rockies by Tuesday of next week.
