Discussion
An unusual upper air pattern will keep the region a little bit unstable and not as hot as it has been. Specifically, a westward moving upper level trough of low pressure reached the Plains yesterday after starting in the Northeast US to end last week. Today that upper low should track across New Mexico and the result here will the threat for showers and thunderstorms with high temperatures in the upper 70's. One final note, the "home run weather" app index is a 10 out of 10 for tonight's home run derby in New York City - the ball should be flying!
