Discussion
An upper level ridge will take control of our weather pattern today as it moves overhead and then it will retrograde farther west on Thursday. This movement will allow for some subtropical moisture to move into the southern Rockies region and this could help to generate scattered showers and thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday. The threat for showers and thunderstorms will continue this weekend as well, but it’ll tend to dry out early next week as the subtropical moisture flow will be cut off. As a result, more sunshine, more heat and a lower chance for rain will be the likely weather scenario next Monday and Tuesday.
