Discussion

Deep upper level low pressure that plunged southward near the west coast on Monday will move over Nevada today and then to over northern Wyoming by tomorrow morning bringing with it a chilly air mass into the southern Rockies. In addition to the chill, there will be possible freezing drizzle, rain and/or snow shower activity in the Denver metro region between tonight and tomorrow night and accumulating snows of up to 3-5 inches are possible in nearby mountainous locations. The upper level will continue on its trek to the east and high pressure will promote a warming trend in the region during the upcoming weekend.
