Discussion

A large and nearly stationary upper level trough of low pressure will keep the region very cold for the next few days before some genuine warming takes place by the middle of next week. Along with the brutally cold temperatures during the weekend, there can actually be a little bit more snow as weak disturbances pass through the region.
