Discussion
Strong high pressure has expanded from the Upper Midwest into the Northeast US and it will stick around in that location for the remainder of the week. From that position, the high pressure will generate a persistent onshore flow for our area through the week and into the weekend. As a result, there will be a daily threat for showers and thunderstorms - given the added moisture from off the ocean - and winds will be quite noticeable from off the ocean.
