Discussion
Strong high pressure will remain relatively stationary over the Mid-Atlantic region for the remainder of the week and it will continue to have an influence on the local weather conditions. From that position, the high pressure system will generate a persistent onshore flow for our area through the week and into the weekend. As a result, there will be a daily threat for showers and thunderstorms - given the added moisture from off the ocean - and winds will be quite noticeable from off the ocean.
