Discussion
Slow-moving low pressure over southern Florida today will head out over the western Atlantic and this should allow for the return of partial sunshine and our warmer-than-normal weather pattern will continue. In fact, temperatures on Friday will likely flirt with the 80 degree mark for highs just ahead of an approaching strong cold frontal system. This strong cold front will generate showers and thunderstorms late in the day on Friday or more likely during the evening hours. Some of the thunderstorms associated with this frontal passage can be on the strong side with gusty winds and brief downpours. Following the passage of the cold front, temperatures will return to much more seasonal levels this weekend. It turns unsettled again early next week with the threat for more showers and thunderstorms ahead of another cold frontal system.
