A strong disturbance will weaken some as it approach the region today, but it could spark the formation of some showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. High pressure will build back into the area this weekend, but then another disturbance will approach the area on Monday in this on-going active weather pattern. This next disturbance will bring us another threat for showers and storms as we begin the new work week.
