Discussion

The overall weather pattern across Florida is definitely showing signs of change as recent dry weather is now evolving into a daily threat of showers and thunderstorms. High pressure ridging will continue to pull away from the region today as low pressure builds across the upper atmosphere in the eastern US. The low-level flow will become broadly south-to-southwest and this will increase moisture in our area which will allow for the shower and thunderstorm threat to grow as we progress through the week. As a result of this undergoing pattern change, there is likely to be quite decent rainfall amounts around here over the next week to ten days which will continue to alleviate drought conditions.
