Discussion

The overall weather pattern across Florida is changing to a much more consistently wet pattern and no doubt drought conditions will be alleviated over the next several weeks. The low-level flow will stay out of the south-to-southwest over the next several days and this will keep moisture at high levels in our area which will contribute to a daily shower and thunderstorm threat. As a result of this pattern change, there is likely to be soaking rainfall amounts in Florida over the next week to ten days on the order of a few inches in some spots.
