Discussion

A wet pattern will continue across Florida over the next several days with deep moisture in place and we’ll keep the daily threat of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast into the middle of next week. Low-level south-to-southwest winds have pumped very moist air into central Florida with dew points in the 70’s setting us up for additional showers and thunderstorms. The drought conditions that became a problem during the past few months in the central part of the state will continue to improve noticeably moving forward given this persistent wet pattern – and soon moisture from tropical systems may become involved in our overall pattern.
