Discussion
The Atlantic high pressure ridge will continue to influence our weather today and will tend to limit convection to only isolated activity over the central coastal region of Florida. Low pressure troughing in the upper atmosphere will drop southward over the next couple of days and this will increase our moisture content and chances for showers and thunderstorms. Any storm that forms in this air mass later this week can produce heavy downpours and contain frequent lightning strikes.
