Discussion
Low-level high pressure ridging will continue to influence weather around here as we head into the weekend and a moist southeasterly flow of air into the region will continue. As a result, the threat for showers and thunderstorms will persist through the weekend and well into next week. There is a tropical wave (Invest 99L) to monitor over the western Atlantic, but it is very likely to recurve well to our east over the latter part of the weekend and early part of next week.
