Discussion
Yet another deep upper-level trough will form in coming days across the Deep South and it will result in an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms in Florida later in the week. In fact, this feature will be potent enough to raise the prospects for severe weather around here on Thursday as it turns quite unstable and quite warm compared to recent days. The combination of ample moisture and a strong frontal system could actually result in the formation of a squall line late Wednesday night over the Gulf of Mexico and that could arrive in east-central Florida during the PM hours on Thursday. Cooler air returns by the upcoming weekend following the passage of the frontal system.
