Discussion
The combination of vigorous energy in the upper atmosphere and ample moisture raises the prospects today for strong-to-severe thunderstorms moving from west-to-east across the state of Florida. A line of storms is already occurring over the eastern Gulf of Mexico and it should move from west-to-east over the next few hours. Cooler air returns for the upcoming weekend following the passage of a strong frontal system.
