Discussion
An upper-level low and broad trough of low pressure will continue their westward trek today along the Gulf Coast and this will generate significant instability in the area. As a result, showers and thunderstorms are quite likely to form later today and tonight on a widespread basis and any storm that forms can be on the strong-to-severe side with heavy rain and gusty winds. This same threat will continue on Friday across central Florida and it’ll stay very warm and humid this weekend with a continuation of the threat for showers and thunderstorms.
