Discussion

An upper-level low and broad trough of low pressure will continue their westward trek today along the Gulf Coast and this will continue to generate some instability in central Florida. As a result, additional showers and thunderstorms are possible later today and any storm that forms can be on the strong-to-severe side with heavy rain and gusty winds. There are other disturbances to track over the next several days in the Atlantic Basin as a relatively favorable pattern for tropical activity continues into next week.
