Discussion

An unusually strong upper-level trough over the south-central US is combining with strong high pressure ridging over the western Atlantic Ocean to persistently pump tropical air from south-to-north along the eastern seaboard. As a result, the threat for showers and thunderstorms will continue on a daily basis right into the weekend throughout much of the eastern US including right here in central Florida.
