Discussion

An upper-level low will intensify over the Southeast US today and take on a “negatively-tilted” axis which will result in an unstable atmosphere across Florida. As a result, showers and thunderstorms will be possible today as surface low pressure intensifies along the Southeast US coastline. This system will then push to the northeast over the western Atlantic and our weather will improve for the mid-week time period.
