Discussion

An unsettled weather pattern will begin the week in central Florida as a weak surface cool front will stall in the northern part of the state. Ahead of the front, the atmosphere should destabilize enough for the likelihood of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in this area and some storms can reach strong levels. It will still quite active into the mid-week time period thanks to a strong southern branch of the jet stream across the Gulf of Mexico.
