Discussion

Surface high pressure dominates the Mid-Atlantic states through the Deep South as we start off the new week with only light onshore expected around here. An unsettled weather pattern is likely later this week as short wave energy approaches at the same time moisture begin to surge northward across the Florida Peninsula. The result will be an increasing shot at showers and thunderstorms as the week progresses.
