Discussion

Our recent string of rain-free days could end today as an upper-level disturbance moves in this direction from the Gulf of Mexico. This system will generate enough upper motion in the atmosphere for the likely formation of showers and thunderstorms in central Florida. High pressure ridging will tend to reduce chances for showers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but that threat for scattered showers will not be eliminated.
