Discussion
The tropics are showing some life as the month of August gets underway with multiple waves in the eastern Atlantic. One such tropical wave has a pretty good chance of intensification in coming days as it travels over warm waters and encounters a more favorable atmosphere with less wind shear. As a result, there very well may be a tropical storm to deal with by the middle of next week in the western part of the Atlantic Ocean.
