Discussion

A cold air mass continues to result in colder-than-normal weather conditions for Florida and lows late tonight will drop into the mid 40’s across the central part of the state. High pressure over the Mississippi Valley will slowly shift to the east and dominate the weather scene in much of the eastern US. The combination of the high and lower pressure off the coast will generate a rather tight pressure gradient across Florida and a continuation of persistent winds.
