Discussion

An extended period of warm weather is coming to central Florida and it’ll be accompanied by stiff winds for much of the time. The dominant weather feature will be a strong ridge of high pressure over the western Atlantic that will promote persistent southwest winds in the upper atmosphere across the Florida Peninsula which will keep any cold air masses well to our north. High temperatures will reach the mid 70’s today and then come close to the 80 degree mark for the next several days.
