Discussion

A strong high pressure system will settle in the eastern US today and it’ll produce an onshore flow in our area which will intensify for the second half of the week. As a result, it’ll turn warmer as the week progresses and temperatures will flirt with the 80 degree mark for afternoon highs by the time we get to New Year’s Day on Friday. A frontal system is likely to push through the area this weekend bringing us cooler weather by Sunday and Monday.
