Discussion

A strong high pressure system has settled in the Mid-Atlantic region and it’ll continue to produce an onshore flow in our area which will intensify for the second half of the week. As a result, it’ll turn warmer as the week progresses and temperatures will flirt with the 80 degree mark for afternoon highs by the time we get to New Year’s Day on Friday. A frontal system is likely to push through the area this weekend bringing us cooler weather by Sunday and Monday.
