Discussion

A big change in the weather is in store for Florida today as we close out the work week following the passage of a strong cold frontal system. Not only will temperatures trend noticeably cooler compared to Thursday, the winds will pick up dramatically – perhaps gusting to 40 mph or so - and the chance for showers will increase as well. The strong winds and chance of showers will continue into Saturday as well and temperatures will remain on the cool side. A warming trend, however, will begin during the second half of the weekend and continue into the early part of next week. In fact, temperatures should rebound to well up in the 70’s once on Monday and Tuesday, but the winds will continue to be rather brisk across central Florida.
