Discussion

Dry, cooler conditions will be the rule across much of the eastern US today and Friday and once high pressure shifts off the east coast, onshore flow will intensify around here during the weekend. Along with the onshore flow, moisture will increase noticeably in the area and this will result in an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms across central Florida. There is even the chance for some severe weather this weekend given the increase in wind fields across the state. Given the expected stretch of increased winds, rough surf can be expected by the time we get to the early part of next week.
