Discussion

The main weather story for the next few days will be the strong and persistent onshore flow across east-central Florida as a result of strengthening high pressure over the western Atlantic Ocean. Winds will increase in intensity today to sustained levels between 10 and 20 mph and gusts to 25 mph. Any showers or thunderstorms that form over the next few days should be rather isolated in terms of coverage, but this threat will likely increase by the middle of next week.
