7:00 AM | A couple of frontal systems will keep us unsettled next few days

Paul Dorian

Strong surface low pressure will lift northeast today across the Great Lakes region and swing a frontal trough across central Florida.  The combination of the weak frontal boundary zone and weak divergence in the upper atmosphere is likely to re-generate showers and thunderstorms across the region by Tuesday afternoon. At mid-week, strong low pressure will form in the south-central US and heads towards the Great Lakes region later in the week.  This system will push another frontal system into central Florida keeping the weather somewhat unsettled around here later in the week.

7:00 AM | A more active weather pattern than recent weeks with chances for showers and thunderstorms

Paul Dorian

A deep and well organized low pressure system will lift northeastward today towards the Great Lakes region and this will bring a broad upper-level trough into the eastern US.  This action will also erode the western Atlantic ridge that has been dominating our weather scene in recent days and allow for a frontal system to stall in the region.  As a result, the weather for the next couple of days will be unsettled.  Another frontal system will bring more unsettled weather to the region later in the week.

7:00 AM | More dry, warm weather through the weekend as high pressure dominates

Paul Dorian

The overall weather pattern will remain warm and dry for central Florida as high pressure ridging dominates the scene through the weekend and limits moisture and persistent southeast winds.  A broad trough will push from the central Plains into the eastern US on Monday and moisture will likely increase around here raising the prospects for some shower and thunderstorm activity by Monday night and Tuesday.

7:00 AM | High temperatures reach the middle 80's on Thursday and Friday

Paul Dorian

The overall weather pattern will remain warm and dry for central Florida as high pressure ridging dominates the scene and limits moisture.  Temperatures will actually climb a bit towards the end of the week and highs will likely reach the middle 80’s.  Warmer-than-normal conditions are likely to continue into the weekend and then there can be enough of an increase in moisture early next week to combine with a frontal system to threaten us with scattered showers and thunderstorms.

7:00 AM | Dry, breezy and warm pattern for much of the week

Paul Dorian

Low pressure has pushed away from the Southeast US and towards the Mid-Atlantic coastline and this will allow us to resume our recent overall pattern of breezy, dry and warm conditions.  High pressure is now building westward from the western Atlantic and it should stay in control around here for the next several days.

7:00 AM | Best chance in awhile for some decent rainfall coming Sunday/Monday

Paul Dorian

Large high pressure sitting over the western Atlantic will maintain an easterly flow of air around here for the next couple of days and most of central Florida will remain dry and warm into the weekend.  By the second half of the weekend, however, a strong cold front will be dropping into the Deep South and this could be the catalyst for widespread (and beneficial) shower activity on Sunday and Monday and a few thunderstorms can be mixed in as well.
