Thunderstorm threat later today through Thursday

A very muggy air mass will help to generate occasional showers and thunderstorms for the next 48 hours or so and any of these can contain heavy downpours. In fact, there is the chance that some of the thunderstorms can reach severe limits with damaging wind gusts along with the torrential rain. A cool front will slide by late Friday and that will begin a drying trend for the weekend, but a shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out for Saturday. Today- a mix of clouds and sun, very warm and humid with an occasional shower or thunderstorm, any of these showers or storms can contain heavy rain, highs near 90
Tonight- mostly cloudy with more showers and thunderstorms, some of which can contain heavy rain, lows mid 70’s
Thurs- more of the same…mostly cloudy, very warm and humid with more showers and thunderstorms, some of these will contain heavy downpours, highs near 90
Fri- partly sunny, still the chance for a couple of showers and thunderstorms, highs near 90
Sat- partly sunny, chance for a shower or thunderstorms, upper 80’s
Sun- partly sunny, warm, mid 80’s
