Heavy rain threat through Friday; drying trend begins Saturday
Paul Dorian
Drenching showers and thunderstorms will pass north and west of the city this morning, but all areas can get hit later this afternoon and evening with a heavy shower or storm. That threat for scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue through tomorrow, but then a cool frontal passage will begin a drying trend this weekend. Rain-free conditions are likely along with some sunshine to begin next week on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Today- mostly cloudy, muggy, occasional showers and thunderstorms west and north of the city this morning and then possible everywhere from midday on, any one of these showers or storms can contain heavy rain, highs near 80
Tonight- mostly cloudy, chance for more showers and thunderstorms which can contain heavy rain, mid 60’s
Fri- mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms still likely, some of this rain can get heavy, low 80’s
Sat- partly sunny, still a chance for a shower or thunderstorm, not as humid, low 80’s
Sun- mainly sunny, warm, low 80’s
Mon- mainly sunny, warm, low 80’s
Tues- partly sunny, pleasant, near 80
