Comfortable again today; heat and humidity build for the weekend

Another very comfortable day is in store for the DC region thanks to a large high pressure system that will finally slip off the coast tomorrow. The return flow of air behind the high will boost our temperatures and humidity this weekend and a weak frontal system will increase our chances for a thunderstorm late Saturday night and Sunday. As the front continues to slowly move eastward on Monday the heat and humidity will reduce slightly, but another shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. A stronger frontal passage is likely by the middle of next week. Today- mainly sunny, still pleasant conditions, upper 80’s

Tonight- mainly clear, pleasant, mid 60’s for lows

Sat- mostly sunny, hot and humid, a thunderstorm threat late at night, low-to-mid 90’s

Sun- partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance for a thunderstorm, mid 90’s

Mon- mainly sunny, hot and a tad less humid, slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm, low 90’s

Tues- mainly sunny, very warm, highs near 90
