More scattered storms today, but tomorrow could feature widespread strong storms
Paul Dorian
Very humid conditions will continue around here through tomorrow and there will be “hit or miss” thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight, but more widespread rain activity is likely tomorrow. The last few weeks have seen consistent “hit or miss” type storms with some areas getting pummeled while others have escaped mainly rain-free. Just yesterday, for example, storms rolled over portions of Philadelphia and Montgomery County, but most of Chester and Delaware Counties remained dry. The first chance in a while for widespread rains will occur tomorrow as a front works its way to the east coast. Once the front moves off the coast, the chance for rain and high humidity levels will drop this weekend. Today- mostly sunny, hot and humid with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms, highs in the low 90’s
Tonight- partly cloudy, muggy, scattered showers or thunderstorms, upper 60’s
Fri- mostly cloudy, humid, not as hot, more widespread showers and thunderstorms likely with some of this rain heavy at times, highs in the low-to-mid 80’s
Sat- becoming mostly sunny, warm, mid 80’s
Sun- mostly sunny, very warm, upper 80’s
Mon- mostly sunny, hot and humid, near 90
Tues- partly sunny, hot and humid with a shower or thunderstorm possible, near 90
