Chance for a shower or thunderstorm today then refreshing change
Paul Dorian
8:30 AM The transition from hot and humid to pleasant weather will continue today as one more piece of energy swings through the region before noticeably cooler and drier air moves into the Mid-Atlantic region. This upper level disturbance can generate a shower or thunderstorm, but it will then pave the way for comfortable conditions from tonight right into the weekend. A large Canadian high pressure system will take control of our weather after today and will likely provide us with plenty of sunshine right through Sunday. Temperatures yesterday reached 94 degrees at Philly airport and it shouldn’t reach those levels for the next several days. Today- sun early this morning, but then a mix of clouds and sun with a shower or thunderstorm chance, not as hot as yesterday with highs in the upper 80’s
Tonight- partly cloudy, becoming cooler and less humid, lows near 60
Thurs- mostly sunny, pleasant, low 80’s
Fri- mostly sunny, pleasant, low 80’s
Sat- mostly sunny, still pleasant, low-to-mid 80’s
Sun- mostly sunny, warm, mid-to-upper 80’s
Mon- partly sunny, warm, upper 80’s
